Lyndon’s forgotten soldier

23rd July '14

Humphrey Nevinson was a Lyndon boy – born in the village and living there until he was 18. But he’s not on the war memorial in the lovely village church. George Phillips doesn’t mention him in Rutland and The Great War and it’s been left to site user Paul Reeve to tell us about him. Perhaps now Lyndon will recognise him as one of their own and add his name to their war memorial?
